Our Gel Candles

Welcome to the World of Gel Candles

What are Gel Candles?
Quite simply, Gel Candles are fragrance, beauty and atmosphere built into one attractive package. Our gel candles are guaranteed to burn 3 to 4 times longer than wax candles (or 10 to 13 hours per ounce); and our scents will not “burn out”.

Approximate Burn Times

12 oz Candle will burn for approximately 135 Hours.
16 oz Candle will burn for approximately 180 Hours.
24 oz Candle will burn for approximately 275 Hours.

Because of the clarity of gel, it gives off about 40% more luminescence than regular paraffin wax. Bubbles in the Gel Refract and Reflect the light, causing the candle to glimmer and also to highlight any item embedded into the Gel.

Each candle is unique in its own way. Because they are all hand-crafted, no two are exactly alike. In addition, after your candle has burned down, remove any gel residue, charms, glass figurines and sand. Fill container with warm, soapy water, allow it to soak for a few minutes and then gently pry up the wick stop with a spoon. Wash container thoroughly and dry. You can re-use the container for other purposes or save as a keep sake.

Candle Safety Precautions
Do not leave a burning candle unattended.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Place protective covering underneath holder to protect furniture.

Do not burn candle without ample overhead clearance, too close to a wall, near combustible materials, draperies or lampshades.

Keep a burning candle out of direct drafts including air and heat vents, open doors and windows, and people traffic. A draft may cause the wick or flame to draw too near to the sides and may fracture the glass.

Never drop matches or other objects into candles.

Never extinguish flame with water.

Candle container may become warm and should be handled with care.

Avoid burning the gel completely to the bottom. Extinguish the candle while 1/2" of gel remains.

Inspect your candle container before each use. If you find a chip or crack, discard it.

Keep candle on a level surface.

If you are not going to burn your candle for some time, it will help to keep the top of your candle clean from dust by covering it with a cellophane or plastic wrap.

Gel candle wick maintenance
Use caution when extinguishing wick, take a minute to trim away loose or fallen wick particles using a toothpick or other object to collect pieces from 'liquidized' gel before it re-gels for next burning. This will keep the top gel looking nice and clean.

When the candle is cool, trim the wick with scissors or nail clippers.

Wick should be trimmed to no more than 1/4" (6mm). A longer wick is prone to dark smoking, especially with more fragrant candles. Also, a longer wick is more apt to burn off center creating a hot spot on the side of the container that could cause it to fracture.

BEFORE LIGHTING CANDLES, ALWAYS REVIEW SAFETY PRECAUTIONS!
